Get the Look: Black Magic Woman
October 26 2020
Halloween is fast approaching! Still need a costume? We've got you covered with some dark-and-moody inspiration courtesy of Santana. "She's a black magic woman..."
Makeup
Bewitching is the name of the game. Opt for dark shadow, dark brows, gel eyeliner, and super-black mascara. Add a red lip if you're feeling bold, or go totally dark and mysterious with a deep maroon.

Get the look
- Cover your lids in a medium to dark eyeshadow using a small eyeshadow brush.
- Using a slightly larger eyeshadow brush, deepen the outer corners with an even darker shadow, blending into the crease.
- Blend the darker shadow down and across your lower lash line using a small eyeshadow brush.
- Add a lighter shadow or shimmer to your inner corner to brighten your eyes and contrast your darker outer corners.
- Dip into your gel eyeliner pot with a small, angled brush. With a steady hand, create a wing. (It's Halloween; go big or go home!)
- Line your lips with your desired shape and fill in with lipstick of a similar color, and top it off with some moody lip gloss for a true Halloween look.
To make it extra spooky...
...accentuate the low points of your face with dark eyeshadow for a sunken-in appearance. Not feeling that bold? Try a simple contour with dark eyeshadow instead of your natural shade!
Costume
This one's easy: throw on your favorite LBD and some comfortable black heels (you know you'll be on your feet all night).
To make it extra spooky...
...add a witch's hat and broom!
Halloween is all about fun and fancy. Use this look as inspiration, but make it your own! Unique is always better.
