“Clean makeup” has no universally accepted definition, which is why we believe every brand should clearly define its own.
To BaeBlu, clean makeup means beautiful, high-performing formulas centered on natural and organic ingredients, with every ingredient vetted for safety and every product made without the ingredients on our prohibited list.

Transparency First
You deserve to know what's in your makeup and why it's there. No hiding behind buzzwords. No pretending an ingredient is something it isn't.
Natural-Origin Preferred
Natural and naturally derived ingredients remain central to BaeBlu. We continue to prioritize them wherever they make sense for the formula while remaining open to purposeful modern cosmetic ingredients when they allow us to create a better product.
Organic Where Meaningful
We love organic ingredients and continue to prioritize them when they meaningfully contribute to the formula. Many of our heritage makeup products contain exceptionally high percentages of organic ingredients, but percentages alone do not determine whether a formula meets our standards.
Purpose Over Purity
We don't reject an ingredient simply because it was created or refined in a laboratory—and we don't automatically approve an ingredient simply because it came from nature.
We ask a more useful question: Why is it here?
Every ingredient should have a reason to earn its place within the complete formula.
Skin-Conscious Performance
Clean makeup still has to be great makeup.
We look for formulas that blend effortlessly, wear comfortably, feel beautiful on the skin, and deliver the performance we expect before they ever earn the BaeBlu name.
Only Mineral Pigments
When we create color, we use mineral pigments such as iron oxides and titanium dioxide. Artificial dyes and synthetic colorants are never part of the BaeBlu makeup palette.
Mostly Vegan
Most BaeBlu makeup formulas are vegan. A small number contain ingredients such as beeswax and are therefore considered vegetarian rather than vegan. Vegan and vegetarian status is identified at the individual product level.
Natural, Synthetic, and the Complete Formula
Natural ingredients can be extraordinary—but natural origin alone does not determine whether an ingredient will be gentle or suitable for every person. Botanicals, essential oils, and other naturally potent ingredients may work beautifully for one person while causing sensitivity for another.
Similarly, a synthetic ingredient is not inherently harsh or inferior. Thoughtfully selected modern cosmetic ingredients can improve a formula’s stability, texture, comfort, performance, and suitability for sensitive skin.
That’s why we evaluate more than an ingredient’s origin. We consider its purpose, concentration, safety profile, and role within the complete formula.
From Our Founder
BaeBlu was founded on a deep love for natural and organic makeup—and that remains part of who we are. But years of wearing and developing highly natural formulas taught me something important: natural ingredients can be incredibly potent, and even beautiful botanicals may not suit every person’s skin.
Over time, I became sensitive to some of the potent natural ingredients in products I had once worn comfortably. That experience broadened the way I evaluate formulas. Instead of relying solely on natural or organic percentages, I began looking more closely at the complete formula—its safety, purpose, stability, performance, and suitability for a wider range of people.
Today, BaeBlu continues to prioritize natural and organic ingredients while remaining open to thoughtfully selected modern cosmetic ingredients that meet our standards and help create more comfortable, stable, inclusive, or high-performing products. It’s how nearly a decade of learning has deepened our commitment to thoughtful formulation.
