Building a Travel Makeup Arsenal
May 25 2021
If you’re a frequent flyer, you know how tricky it can be to travel with makeup. From carry-on restrictions to traveling light, it can be tough to bring your whole beauty bag with you. That’s where a travel makeup arsenal comes in handy.
A travel makeup arsenal as our fancy name for beauty products you set aside specifically for excursions. Or, if you don’t want a second set of products, your “arsenal” could take the form of a packing list so you know exactly what to bring each time you pack your suitcase.
Before we begin, quick disclaimer: everyone’s different, so the products that you consider essential might be unique to you.
Focus on multi use products to reduce the number of items in your bag. For instance, concealer can be used as eye primer when needed, eyeshadow can work as brow powder, and 2-in-1 lip and cheek tints save you some extra space!
In addition to multi use products, there are some single-users you’ll want to bring along. Mascara brightens your eyes and makes you look extra awake... even if you just got off a redeye. You’ll also want powder to keep your make up in place throughout your adventures.
If you’re really trying to lose some baggage weight, you may not need face makeup. However, if you can’t live without it, either take a long the full product or use a small container to bring along just enough product for your trip. Some brands even sell samples of your favorite products that are perfect for travel. And don’t forget a makeup sponge!
When all is said and done, you’ll have an unparalleled travel makeup arsenal to take with you wherever you may roam.
Use these lists as inspiration; add or subtract as needed to create your customized travel makeup arsenal!
